Mental Health and Addictions

The Mental Health and Addictions Worker program prepares students for a meaningful career supporting individuals dealing with mental health challenges and substance use disorders.

Students will learn how to provide emotional support, assist clients, and connect them with essential community resources.

The Mental Health and Addictions Worker diploma program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mental health, addiction, and social support services.

Throughout the program, students learn how to assess client needs, develop support plans, and provide counselling and intervention strategies. The curriculum focuses on both theoretical knowledge and practical skills required in real-world mental health environments.

Students will also gain experience in case management, crisis intervention, and client advocacy. The program emphasizes ethical practice, communication, and cultural awareness when working with diverse populations.

An internship is included, allowing students to gain hands-on experience in healthcare and community service settings.
