The Human Resources Management – Applied AI program prepares students to build practical HR skills for today’s Canadian workplace.

Students will learn Canadian employment law, recruitment, HR operations, people analytics, HRIS tools, and how to use AI responsibly in modern human resources.

About Program

The Human Resources Management – Applied AI diploma program is designed for adults with real work experience who want to move into Human Resources.

Over 46 weeks, students learn how Canadian HR works in real organizations, including employment standards, workplace compliance, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, total rewards, HRIS administration, and people operations.

AI is built into every subject from the beginning. Students learn how to use AI tools in HR while following proper standards around employment law, privacy, bias verification, and ethical decision-making.

Throughout the program, students build a portfolio of real HR deliverables, including compliance audits, recruitment packages, dashboards, performance frameworks, HR operations documents, and AI-powered workflows.

The program also includes an 80-hour internship inside a real people function, giving students practical HR experience that employers can recognize

• Microsoft Office & Digital Workplace Skills for HR

Develop professional skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft Copilot. Students build an HR Coordinator Starter Pack, including a headcount and turnover dashboard.

• HR Foundations & Canadian Employment Law

Learn the Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, AODA, OHSA, and PIPEDA. Students create an HR compliance audit memo with practical recommendations.

• AI for HR & People Analytics

Learn how AI tools work in HR, where they can fail, and how to apply bias verification and privacy safeguards. Students build an AI tool-selection guide, people analytics dashboard, and AI fluency demonstration.

• Talent Acquisition: Recruitment, Selection & Onboarding

Learn full-cycle recruitment, structured interviewing, AI-assisted resume screening, sourcing strategies, job descriptions, onboarding, and ATS setup.

• Performance, Learning & Employee Experience

Study performance management, learning and development, employee experience, progressive discipline, LMS rollout, engagement surveys, and feedback documentation.

• Total Rewards, HRIS & HR Operations

Learn compensation, job evaluation, pay bands, Ontario pay equity, group benefits, payroll handoff, HRIS administration, employee lifecycle management, and HR analytics.

• AI-Forward Career Launch & HR Capstone

Complete an HR strategy capstone, build a portfolio website, create a personal AI operating system, and prepare for job search and CHRP designation planning.

• Internship

Complete an 80-hour internship in a real HR environment such as an HR team, recruitment firm, HR consultancy, or Canadian SME.
